From the airline management perspective, maintenance cost management is an ongoing challenge which is continually changing to suit the changing operational requirements of an airline. This also puts significant strain on the relation between an airline and an MRO. How can an airline avoid dysfunctional cost management while deriving maximum value from its MRO expenditure? What should airlines and MRO’s do to leverage new technology to make a difference? What are the true value levers for an MRO?
