Aviation Competence Center Maastricht

On Thursday October 14th, 2010, the Aviation Competence Center Maasticht celebrated the opening of its new building. This facility of "Leeuwenborg Opleidingen" is dedicated to training people for a technical career in aviation. Students can obtain an EASA Part 66 license in accordance with EASA Part147 standards or train for various levels of technical expertise. Housed in the former building of the Flight Simulation Company the ACC has a large hangar with a full scale F16 airframe, a BAE146 cockpit and a Fokker 50 cockpit as well as a complete engine shop and composite shop fo real life training. The institute plans to deliver op to 100 qualified Part 66 technicians annually and works together with several Euregional Educational institutes. The institute is a key player in the Maastricht Maintenance Boulevard concept.LIOF the reginal investment bank is also an important participant
